In addition to our glass options, we offer several polycarbonate alternatives. Our standards are 8mm and 25mm in either clear, bronze, or opal. Please view our Polycarbonate Performance Chart to view the properties of the most popular Solar Innovations™' polycarbonate options. Solar Innovations™ uses polycarbonates instead of acrylics because even though acrylic is approximately ten times stronger than glass, polycarbonate is 30 times stronger than acrylic. In addition acrylic is more brittle and scratches easier than polycarbonate. Our polycarbonate selections are easier to clean and maintain than the acrylic options offered by other companies.
