Let fresh air and sunlight flow into your home or business by adding Solar Innovations™ glass Hung Windows. Hung Window applications by Solar Innovations™ can be added to any new construction or existing structure in either single or double hung. Double Hung Windows by Solar Innovations™ may also be combined in a “glass wall” or “window wall” with our standard terrace doors and decorative panels to create a unique, stylish look.

Solar Innovations, Inc. also uses top quality adjustable balances to facilitate proper functioning for the life of the product. Integrated screen options create even more highly functioning windows. The tilt-in options are also available to allow for easy cleaning and improved serviceability.

Double and single hung windows can be mulled together as well as integrated with fixed lites to fill in larger openings, or combined with similar side lites to create an architecturally pleasing and functional system. Solar Innovations also offers a complete line of projected, tilting, sliding , and folding systems to compliment the double and single hung windows. Wood options include solid Mahogany or Spanish Cedar. Upon special request, laminates of Western Red Cedar, Southern Yellow Pine, Douglas Fir, and Northern White Pine (straight eave applications only). Redwood and Cherry can be integrated into your structures depending on final engineering requirements.
External grids, internal muntins, and fixed lite options are available to increase the overall aesthetic appeal and meet each customer’s design needs. Internal muntin and SLD options can be placed between the glass while external, low profile grids can be applied to surfaces 1 and 4.
The hung window system, which has an overall frame depth of four inches, is currently scheduled for Florida Impact Certification at a design pressure rating of ± 60 psf is underway. (Final maximum sizes to be determined.)
Standard Double Hung Windows Include:
- One of Solar Innovations’™ seven standard colors.
- 1" insulated glass. Glass make up is 1/8" clear tempered over 1/8" clear tempered with a stainless steel spacer.
- Stainless steel fasteners provide durability and resist corrosion.
- 1/8" tempered over 5/16" SPG laminated glass is available for impact applications.
- Available in a variety of sizes, to a standard maximum of 48" x 96" panel, depending on performance requirements.
- Fixed integrated or retractable cassette screens are available.
All of our window configurations are framed by a thermally broken aluminum extrusion and can be combined with a 1" insulated or non-thermal ¼" single pane glazing. Double Hung Window configurations by Solar Innovations™ come with flanges as a standard for our system; however, we can remove the flanges to allow the window to be placed in any framed opening. Hardware is included.
Hung Window systems by Solar Innovations™ are available in double or single hung with several decorative options including grids, simulated divided lites (SDLs); beveled, etched or leaded glass; and applied radius or gothic corners.
