Solar Innovations™ provides the finest aluminum roof lanterns available in the industry today. Transform you environment with Solar Innovations™ Roof Lanterns. Initially popular in the Victorian, Edwardian, and Georgian eras, roof lanterns can add an exciting feature to a home. Roof lanterns provide natural light, comparable to some low voltage/wattage alternatives while also providing ventilation (with the proper accessories) so that air can adequately flow from the home and create proper air circulation.
Roof lanterns are generally installed above the main roof line. Roof Lanterns are designed to be incorporated with an addition, constructed independently, or placed a top conservatories, pool and spa enclosures, and greenhouses. |

Roof lanterns are designed in any style: hip end roof lanterns, double pitch roof lanterns, dome roof lanterns, pyramid roof lanterns, and polygon roof lanterns. In many cases, roof lanterns incorporate transoms, decorative accessories, and grids. Solar Innovations™ can provide roof lanterns in: White, Bronze, Hartford Green, Natural Clay, Black, Sandstone, and Mill finish aluminum. Clear Anodized, Bronze Anodized, and custom color finishes for roof lanterns are available for an additional charge. For roof lanterns requiring additional detail, Solar Innovations™ utilizes custom metal finishes including copper, stainless steel, and simulated lead coated copper cladding. Roof Lantern interior wood options include solid Mahogany or Spanish Cedar. Upon special request, laminates of Western Red Cedar, Southern Yellow Pine, Douglas Fir, and Nothern White Pine (straight eave applications only) are available. Redwood and Cherry can also be integrated into your structure depending on the final engineering requirements. Decorative finials, cresting, gutters, pediments, grids, and transoms can all be added to the roof lanterns' design to meet the creative tastes of each customer.

Solar Innovations™ leads the industry in operable accessory options for roof lanterns as well as our decorative extruded and decorative aluminum cast options. Solar offers traditional looking ridge and eave vents integrated perfectly into our roof lantern, or skylight, designs. Small one or two bay options are available with a manual pole operator or 24 volt low voltage chain drive motors. Larger roof lantern vents, up to 18 feet or more can be manually operated with an arm and rod operator or motorized with a linear actuator motor. For both roof lantern ventilation systems, rain sensors, thermostats, and remote control options can also be integrated. Manual or motorized shade systems are utilized in certain applications.
Intended for both commercial and residential use, Solar Innovations™ provides projected windows with manual or motorized options that are specifically designed for easy incorporation into our skylights or roof lanterns. Solar Innovations™ provides superior glass technology for roof lanterns and matches the glazing selection to each individual’s needs.
