Standard sliding glass door and window systems by Solar Innovations™ include the following:

• One of Solar Innovations™ seven standard colors.
• Thermally broken aluminum frame.
• 1" insulated glass. Glass make up is 1/8" clear tempered over 1/8" clear tempered with a black spacer.
• Stainless steel fasteners provide durability and resist corrosion.
• “Anti-Slam” features to prevent damage to the 2-point locking system.
• High performance sill.
• Door hardware.
• Dual track sliding glass door systems are combined with charcoal fiberglass screens to create sliding screens.

In addition to our standard sliding glass door designs, Solar Innovations™ offers modified standard sliding glass doors. This typically increases the cost of the standard sliding glass door system by approximately 15-30% or more depending on the amount of customization involved. Our modified standards allow you to order a sliding glass door with shorter lead times for quotes, shop drawings, and manufacturing than complete custom units.  This will give you the opportunity to create a cost effective sliding door with a custom touch. 

We define a "modified standard" door as one which starts as a standard size and requires minimal modifications. Our modified standards are divided into three options. (Please view the drawings and descriptions below. The green shaded area denotes the modifications.)

DUAL TRACK SLIDING GLASS DOOR

This is our standard dual track sliding glass door (XO) found in our Standard Configuration Guide. Rough opening is 5' 11-5/8" x 6' 9".

This is our standard dual track sliding glass door (OXXO) found in our Standard Configuration Guide. Rough opening is 11' 11-5/8" X 6' 9".

Dual Track Sliding Glass Door or Window Option 1 allows you to add a transom.
Dual Track Sliding Glass Door or Window Option 2 allows you to add one or two fixed lites.
Dual Track Sliding Glass Door or Window Option 3 is a combination of Options 1 and 2.

MULTIPLE TRACK SLIDING GLASS DOOR

This is our standard multiple track sliding glass door (OXXX) found in our Standard Configuration Guide. Rough opening is 11' 11-5/8" x 6' 9".

This is our standard pocket sliding glass door found in our Standard Configuration Guide. Rough opening of door is 5' 11-5/8" x 6' 9". Rough opening including pocket, 8' 11-5/8" x 6' 9".

Multiple Track Sliding Glass Door or Window Option 1 allows you to add a transom.
Multiple Track Sliding Glass Door or Window Option 2 allows you to add one or two fixed lites.
Multiple Track Sliding Glass Door or Window Option 3 is a combination of Options 1 and 2.

We recommend choosing a custom sliding glass door or window if the deviations from the standard are more than the options allowed in the modified standard section. Please be aware that any deviation from our standards or modified standards typically results in 30-50% or more in increased costs and longer lead times.

• Select one of Solar Innovations™ standard sliding glass door systems.
• Determine if you prefer the multiple track, dual track, pocket, cornerless, or radius design.
• Determine if you would like a screen for your sliding glass door.
• Choose from standard and high performance sill options to create the flexibility to fit virtually any application.
• Decide if you want to include any decorative options (e.g. low profile grids, simulated divided lites (SDLs), or raised decorative panels).
• Complete our Quote Request Form. Choose either standard or modified on the form and note the modifications. Be sure to include as much information as possible; all additional details you provide help us supply you with a more accurate quote.
• Submit your quote request online or print out the form and fax or mail it to us. One of our estimators will contact you within 1-2 business days after we have received the request and reviewed it.
