Project Spotlight: Pool House

Solar Innovations, Inc. recently designed several sliding glass doors for this residential pool house in Florida. The entire project consisted of three G3 thermally-broken, multi-track sliding glass door systems. One of the doors is a 90 degree no-post corner sliding glass door with six panels. The other sliding glass doors have three and four panels. All three door systems are equipped with high-performing wind load sills, 3” Stainless Steel rollers, and heavy bottom rails in order to withstand extreme weather conditions. While the doors include a sturdy aluminum frame, the interior is finished with Solar’s wood veneer per the customer’s request, providing an aesthetic that blends seamlessly with the existing design.

Incorporating sliding glass doors on a pool house provides a beautiful view and seamless integration between the structure and the pool. Parents can easily watch their children without having to be outside. When hosting parties, the pool house helps with flow, providing guests the opportunity to easily change and use the bathroom in the pool house, designed to accommodate the water that visitors from the pool carry with them. The structure can also be used to store pool chemicals as well as pool and patio furniture during the off season.

Solar Innovations, Inc. sliding glass door systems are impact tested and have received Florida Product Approval. Product testing is performed on-site at the Solar Innovations, Inc. manufacturing facility using our in-house test lab. Solar’s in-house test lab allows tests to be executed quickly in order to achieve project-specific requirements, depending on engineering capabilities. All tests are certified by a nationally-recognized third party.
