Solar Innovations Expands Patent Count with Two New Patents

PINE GROVE, PA – Solar Innovations®—a single source provider of custom glass structures, skylights, windows, and doors—just announced the addition of two new patents: a Door Catch and a Path Guide for Movable Partition Assemblies.

The new door catch design is used to prevent door sag, especially for heavy or tall residential/commercial doors. The catch provides post-installation catch tension adjustment without the removal or adjustment of mounting members. With this design, the assembly can be adjusted vertically to increase or decrease the tension per each door installation.

The second patent, the path guide for movable partition assemblies, was created to improve upon the transitions for stacking doors. In these movable partition systems, the door is guided along a branched overhead rail. Path guides that are positioned within these overhead rails allow for easy door transitions. The new design is shaped and aligned within the overhead rails to provide an even smoother transition between rail junctions.

In addition to these patents, Solar has over 30 other patents and is constantly in the process of improving. As a result, there are over 10 other patents in the pending process.
