Wide Span Horizontal Shades

Wide Span Horizontal Shades are designed to span the eave of a conservatory (shown at right). Shades are mounted directly to the eave. The blinds operate in a Roman fold style. When extended they allow heat to be held above the system in the eave, while the living space remains cooler. On cool winter days, the shades can be retracted to allow sunlight and heat into the structure. Varying fabrics, colors, and textures are available.

Shading can also be applied to curtain walls and skylights. Blinds between glass are another viable option for heat and sunlight control for windows and doors. To discuss a shading project, please contact your Solar Innovations, Inc. representative.
