Specialty Greenhouses

Specialty greenhouses are built with a specific plant or purpose in mind. We currently design and manufacture three types of specialty greenhouses. Solar Innovations^® is proud to say we have made solutions for your bonsai, orangery/citrus, or orchid growing applications. Each category can be customized to meet your needs.

One of the key features to a Solar Innovations^® specialty greenhouse is the ability to create zones within the greenhouse. There are thousands of orchid species available; some like hot weather, while others prefer cooler temperatures. The orchid greenhouse can be separated into different zones, each having its own temperature and climate. Similarly, accommodations can be made for bonsai trees, one zone can be created for tropics and another for cold weather bonsais. Again, the same can be implemented for orangeries. The tropical orange and lemon trees can be grown in one zone, and the cold weather cherries and apples are cultivated in a second zone. A Solar Innovations^® greenhouse can be designed to hold any number of plant species and foster multiple climates. If you can dream it, we can create it.

Bonsai Greenhouses

Bonsai gardeners constantly need more space to cultivate their plants. In a short amount of time, the windowsill becomes too small to hold a growing collection of indoor bonsai trees. The solution is a bonsai greenhouse from Solar Innovations®. This greenhouse will have ample space to expand the collection, and to plant, trim, and prune the bonsais.

Citrus Greenhouses

Citrus greenhouses were originally called orangeries because of the oranges and other citrus fruits raised in the structure. Over time, the orangery has changed to an architectural conservatory. However, citrus greenhouses are still in use. Citrus greenhouses are intended to provide a protected location and tropical growing environment to nurture fruit during cold winter months or in cooler climates.

Orchid Greenhouses

Orchids have long been thought of as one of the most difficult flowering plants to care for. Allow Solar Innovations^® to design an orchid greenhouse to meet your specific needs. Our orchid greenhouses can incorporate essential elements for orchids such as shading, heating, cooling, watering, and nutrient control systems.

Butterfly Enclosures

Palm Greenhouses

Solar Innovations^® provides customized greenhouses tailored to gardeners interested in cultivating palms. Two story greenhouses are available for those that wish to grow exceptionally tall palms and can easily accommodate 20′ trees.
