Solar Innovations® Architectural Glazing Systems recently completed work on a G2 thermally broken multi-track sliding glass door system at a private residence in New York City. The project featured a XXO configuration allowing for ample space for residents and their guests to pass through the opening with ease. This also maximizes the view when inside. A standard recessed handle with mortise thumb turn keyed locked exterior offers added security. While a high-performance wind load sill, G2 hurricane interlock bottom rails, and stainless steel rollers add the performance and functionality to the system. The hardware, sill thresholds, ramps, and sill flashing were all finished in Class I Clear Anodized frame finish. To complete the project, the system was finished in AAMA 2603 White frame finish to fit the modern look of the residence and utilized LoE 272 insulated glazing. Shade and screen systems can also be added to Solar Innovations® sliding glass door systems for further customization for the property.
This residential sliding glass door system is used to provide access to a courtyard while maximizing the view and bringing the outside in. Solar Innovations® Architectural Glazing Systems can customize a sliding glass door system for any application and design.
