“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” – Nelson Mandela
Recently Solar Innovation® completed a folding glass wall project for George Mason University’s Potomac Environmental Research and Education Center (PEREC) in Woodbridge, Virginia. PEREC focuses on Potomac River restoration and local sustainability practices, to ensure the local ecosystem will be healthy for years to come. They translate their research into award winning and engaging field programs for K-12 students and larger communities.
GMU was looking for something that could further open up their classroom space to accommodate larger class sizes and open up to their beautiful views of the Potomac River. PEREC selected a 4 panel G2 Non-thermal Folding Glass Wall system with a clear anodized finish. Solar’s non-thermal doors and walls are ideal for indoor spaces where the temperature can be controlled and that doesn’t have to worry about coming into contact with harsh elements.
Whether it’s a structurally glazed facade for a private school, or some casement windows for public institutions, Solar Innovations® has you covered. We offer several operable door and window options, along with glass structures and skylights to bring more to your educational facilities.
