The Solar Innovations, Inc. team raised over $1200 this holiday season for the Pottsville Salvation Army Corps. The Company matched the first $500 in donations, raising the grand total to over $1700.
In addition to the monetary donation, Solar Innovations, Inc. participated in the Adopt-a-Family program, where the Company provided Christmas presents for a local family with five children, ages 1 to 12. Team members purchased individual gifts for the children, and the gifts were given to the Salvation Army to present to the family.
Solar’s Adopt-a-Family fundraiser was structured similar to the Company’s fundraiser for breast cancer awareness held in October 2015. By donating $1 for each day they wore jeans and $1 for each day they wore sneakers to the office, team members were allowed to dress casually for the month of December. Many team members even made additional donations.
