Solar Innovations, Inc.’s Human Resources Department attended the Find Your Future Open House today at McCann School of Business and Technology in Pottsville, PA.
Our team conducted mock interviews just prior to the career fair to give job-seekers an understanding of what to expect when they experience the interview process with potential employers. The “candidates” were asked questions which are typical for Solar and many other companies during the interview process. The purpose of mock interviews is to allow job-seekers to practice their professional self-presentation in a real-world scenario. We gave each student constructive feedback after their individual interviews to let them know what aspects they excelled in and in what areas they should focus their improvement.
We also shared information about the different team positions available at Solar Innovations, Inc. and gave candidates the opportunity to apply for our current openings. Solar offers a wide range of departments from accounting and marketing to fabricating and maintenance; we look for candidates with a wide variety of skills rather than specific degrees. Attending open houses is just one way we spread the word about our employment opportunities, in fact, many of our current team members learned about Solar Innovations, Inc. through career fairs at their former institutions of higher education.
