Project Spotlight: Folding Glass Walls

Solar Innovations, Inc. recently received pictures of these folding glass wall systems that were manufactured for a commercial building on the east coast. Instead of traditional construction, the glass walls were installed in order to create two temporary walls between interior and exterior dining spaces. Not only do the folding glass walls provide full views of the outdoors, but they can also be opened to unite the two dining areas.

Solar’s aluminum framework is typically thermally-broken, which is perfect for areas with intense cold, however; these particular folding glass door units utilize non-thermal framing. Non-thermal door units are commonly used in areas with warmer climates, where they will not be threatened by cold weather, and they are ideal for indoor applications, in which the frame does not come in contact with outdoor elements.
